The Ferret is Cobra's answer to the G.I. Joe RAM. Though it cannot match the Rapid Fire Motorcycle's speed, it makes up for it with its all-terrain capability and firepower. While it can transverse practically any terrain, its sorely lacking in armor. The Ferret is best suited for light infantry and security detail.

The Cobra Ferret is armed with driver-controlled twin .50 caliber machine guns, a side-slug electric CMF-1 10-round grenade launcher, and two laser-seeking 'Com-Bat' rockets.

• The Cobra Ferret was released in 1985 as part of G.I. Joe's lower price-range vehicle line. A bright blue version was available via Hasbro Direct mail-order between 1989 and 1993.

• The mould was later redecoed for the Tiger Paw as part of the Tiger Force line released in 1988. The vehicle's tyres still declared they were made by Cobra; however part of the set-up for Tiger Force is that they use captured Cobra Vehicles.
