Original material[]

The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea![]

The W.H.A.L.E. has brought Sci-Fi, Cutter, Wet-Suit and Hawk to the Persian Gulf to clear it of floating mines and allow the oil tanker Pegasus clear passage. Sci-Fi proves adept at shooting them out but when they investigate one they suddenly see more appearing, then suddenly a Rattler appears in the sky, dropping mines, followed by another. Unable to call aircraft into Iranian airspace the W.H.A.L.E. fires on the low flying planes who return fire. In the battle Hawk is wounded and one Rattler destroyed, but the W.H.A.L.E. is hit and starts sinking, drifting into the minefield. The second Rattler flies past as the W.H.A.L.E.'s guns run out of ammunition. The Pegasus is returning but doesn't realise it is heading for the minefield whilst the Rattler comes back to attack. Sci-Fi rushes to shoot out the mines with his rifle and also takes a successful shot at the Rattler's fuel tanks, destroying it. The Pegasus arrives to pick up the team.

Betrayal![]

Dusty tells Flint he wants to quit Action Force. He explains it is because of Julia Kreig:

Dusty loved a female Action Force member called Julia Kreig. They were on patrol in the Middle East, Julia driving the H.A.V.O.C. whilst Cross Country was on leave, Dusty on foot. Suddenly the H.A.V.O.C. ran over a landmine then hordes of Cobra vehicles attacked. Dusty survived and staggered back to the H.A.V.O.C. to find Julia was gone. He took the H.A.V.O.C. recon craft to follow the Cobras. Finding them camping, relaxing and laughing Dusty charged in anger and thanks to surprise killed them all. Then he saw that the last Crimson Guard was Julia - she had been a Cobra agent all along who set up the ambush so she could return to Cobra,

Dusty explains he can't trust anyone anymore, but Flint argues that all that matters is trusting himself. He tells Dusty if there was any doubt about that he would dismiss him immediately. He asks if Dusty still wants to leave but the latter says no and Flint picks up his rifle and returns it to him.
