As tank operators, recruits are taken from a pool of the strongest Cobra Officers with the nastiest scruples when it comes to fighting in armored vehicles. Not only are they tank operators, they are also expected to have knowledge of operating F.A.N.G. helicopters and every NATO and G.I. Joe weapons.

Types of H.I.S.S. Drivers[]

Rank[]

Driver: These drivers are one rank above Cobra Officers, and can order troops into battle. They make-up the majority of Cobra's Armored Division (next to Track-Vipers, although they might be the same). They have red uniforms, blue chest-plates, and black boots and accessories.

Company Commander: They command a group of HISS Tanks and attached ground forces. They have blue uniforms, black chest-plates, black boots, and red accessories.

Battalion Commander: They command several groups of armored units, with one officer in charge of the whole Armored Division (see: Rip It). They have black uniforms and chest-plates, and blue boots and accessories.

Units[]

Regular: (These are the Drivers as noted above)

Arctic Assault: They supplement the ranks of Cobra's arctic forces, when call on to fight. They are not as skilled as Snow Serpents, so they cannot operate as long in extreme cold. Their uniforms are similar to the Snow Serpents, but with a white H.I.S.S. Driver helmet and light-blue bandana over mouth.
