Fiction[]

Rise of Cobra (2009 Movie)[]

Breaker is first seen during the attempted theft of nanomite warheads by Cobra, but is not seen actually fighting. He is later part of the standoff between Duke and the Joes using a pistol. He does not take part in Duke and Ripcord's training, instead trying to track down the Baroness's identity, Duke having informed them that she is his ex-fiancee.

Before the attack on the Joes' headquarters, the Pit, he is seen playing chess with Heavy Duty, but later helps to defend the Pit from Cobra's attack. After the battle is over, he finally discovers the Baroness's current identity, along with Cobra's plan to get the nanomites weaponized. On the way to the research building in Paris, he explains Cobra's plans to the Joes, stealing Duke's last piece of bubblegum in the process.

As the Joes fight to try to save the Eiffel Tower from Cobra's attack, he provides information on the field, including ongoing tracking of the Baroness's current location. The Joes are ultimately unsuccessful in preventing the destruction of the Eiffel Tower, but Duke intercepts the kill switch, preventing any further destruction to Paris. In the aftermath, the Joes find a dead Neo-Viper and Breaker plugs directly into the man's neo-cortex, saying that he can retrieve the electrical impulses from his most recent memories and convert them into images. Seeing what he is doing remotely, James McCullen activates the man's nanomites to destroy his brain. Breaker puts on a show to make McCullen think he didn't get anything, but reveals afterwards that he did manage to get images. Following this, the group is arrested by the French authorities, who believe them responsible for the attack on the Eiffel Tower. While in custody, they mess with Breaker's gadgets, much to his chagrin.

During the attack on the M.A.R.S. Industries Base, Breaker takes control of the control room alongside Scarlett and helps Ripcord and Snake-Eyes complete their mission. He escapes the sinking base along with Scarlett and Snake-Eyes and is last seen with the rest of the Joes entering an aircraft as they head off to a new mission.

Personality and abilities[]

Breaker was a science geek who was talented at hacking into systems. However he didn't seem to be a particularly skilled fighter and was not seen fighting at all during the movie despite the fact he was present in several combat scenes. Breaker claimed that he was the best at what he did and was affronted when Ripcord said otherwise. He was also able to speak French.
