Commando Snake-Eyes A Real American Hero (1982)

Snake-Eyes is part of the original lineup of G.I. Joe characters from 1982, the very first series of A Real American Hero toys. As with the other action figures of that first year, two versions of this Snake-Eyes was released, one with straight arms and a later one with swivel arm battle grip design.


Appearance: black goggled mask; black shirt, pants, straps, belt, gloves, and boots

Accessories: black Uzi pistol; black pack of explosives

Ninja Snake-Eyes ARAH Version 2 (1985)

In 1985, The popularity of Snake-Eyes led to him becoming the first carded character to be a new version of a previous character. By this time, much was known about his connection to Storm Shadow. This and many of the future Snake-Eyes action figures began playing up the emphasis of his ninja background.


Appearance: black face mask with dark grey grill visor; black shirt and gloves with dark grey grenade belt diagonally across chest; black pants with dark grey belt and holsters; black boots.

Accessories: black square backpack with single pouch and clips on side for sword; black Uzi (the same that came with the 1982 version); black sword with ribbed hilt and curved blade; light grey wolf named Timber.

"Super Commando" Snake Eyes ARAH Version 3 (1989)

Snake-Eyes became the first character to receive a third unique mold when he was released in 1989.


Appearance: black face mask with silver goggles; black shirt with silver crossed swords on chest; silver wristbands; black pants with silver belt; black boots

Accessories: thin pouch backpack (with sculpted rope) with slots on side for sword; dark grey submachine gun with hook on end; smooth, thin silver air gun; silver sword with claw on hilt and four holes in blade; three-piece silver chain weapon.

"Ski Suit" Snake Eyes ARAH Version 4 (1991)

Snake-Eyes was available carded in the 1991 series of Real American Hero toys.


Appearance: black face mask with red goggles and silver mouth grill; blue shirt with black and grey vest; black gloves; black pants with blue stripes on legs; black boots with blue shin coverings.

Accessories: blue backpack spring missile launcher; red submachine gun with no stock; two red swords with textured grips; red grappling hook missile with V-shaped tip and black string; black figure stand.

Ninja Force Snake-Eyes Ninja Force (1993)

The Ninja Force version of Snake-Eyes was part of the second year of that particular subset. Like all the other Ninja Force figures, Snake-Eyes can perform a martial art move by squeezing his legs together.


Appearance: black face mask with white eyes; black shirt with blue diagonal straps and wristbands; black pants with blue belt, holster, and knife; black boots

Accessories: neon blue sword; neon blue "Dojo" sword; neon blue "'92 Storm Shadow" sword; neon blue knife; neon blue "Nunchuk" nunchuks; two neon blue '88 Storm Shadow" claws; neon blue figure stand.

Shadow Ninjas (1994)

The Ninja Force mold is used to create Shadow Ninja Snake-Eyes. The gimmick of the Shadow Ninjas is when the figure is splashed with water, you can see it actually change color.

Commando Team (1997)

The Real American Hero Collection had a set called the Commando Team which included Snake-Eyes, Lady Jaye and Storm Shadow. Snake-Eyes action figure here is a curious selection. While also using the original 1982 mold as the Stars and Stripes Forever version but instead came with the accessories of 1985 Snake-Eyes.

The original Snake-Eyes design is revisited with a 21st century twist as the figure now sports the new articulation and architecture design. Snake-Eyes is part of the G.I. Joe Battle Pack with several other figures.
