G.I. Joe Reloaded is a comic book series that ran from 2003 to 2004 and published by Devil's Due Publishing. The series was launched by two 48-page specials and followed by fourteen monthly issues. Despite critical acclaim and positive beginning to the series, sales quickly dropped down as it competed with the main series.
The series presents a continuity separate from the larger comics continuity by rebooting the entire G.I. Joe/Cobra saga for a new audience and to showcase a modern more realistic take on the stories. In the first page of each issue, the objective of the series is described, "G.I. Joe Reloaded is a comic book series for both new and veteran fans of the G.I. Joe mythos. Starting the story from scratch, and revising the team's formation for modern times, Reloaded offers a chance to jump into the G.I. Joe world without worrying about the continuity of years past."
