Ripper can be said to be literally born bad from the very beginning. He has the temperament of a spoiled child and gets angry if he doesn't get what he wants. He's already committing extortion as early as five years old though his favored mode of payment then are candies. No amount of discipline could ever correct him, going in and out of various correctional institutions over the years. His anarchical behavior has made him a better fit for biker gangs but his excesses in attitude made them a poor fit for him. It would take a group like the Dreadnoks who all excel in the same obsessions as he does that he would find acceptance. That and their equal love for motorcycles. His trademark weapon is that of a rifle with a bayonet shaped like a can opener's blade.

[edit] Action Force (British) Comics continuity

Ripper and his fellow Dreadnoks were based at Destro's castle when Snake-Eyes intruded. Ripper and Buzzer pursued him down the mountain as he escaped, but he overcame them, stealing one motorcycle and destroying the other.[1] Later Ripper and Buzzer attacked an Action Force test range and stole a new core support gun. Bazooka pursued them to a local shopping precinct where they were overcome by the Action Force member with the aid of Alfred Taylor, a retired old soldier.[2]

Later Ripper, Buzzer and Monkeywrench kidnapped Amy Trent, daughter of Action Force's Ministry of Defence liaison and commander Raymond Trent. They held her hostage and forced Trent to send Action Force out of the country, then deliver Ministry of Defence confidential documents. However Trent donned his uniform and attempted a rescue mission. Despite Buzzer's orders, Monkeywrench killed him. Hawk, Flint and Snake-Eyes pursued the Dreadnoks and rescued Amy, though the Dreadnoks escaped.[3] Ripper and Thrasher then attacked the Stonebury Weapons Testing Range with the Thunder Machine, stealing a confidential folder. They fought with Snake-Eyes and Flint before fleeing.[4]
