Trivia[]

  • M.A.S.K. was one of the many rival toylines to G.I. Joe in the 1980s, produced by the Kenner toy company. The toyline involved the Mobile Armored Strike Kommand (M.A.S.K.) fighting against the criminal organization known as the Vicious Evil Network Of Mayhem (V.E.N.O.M.), led by Miles Mayhem. Both sides used machines that transformed from every day civilian vehicles into combat machines, and both sides wore special helmet-shaped "masks" that had special powers. After the line finished, Kenner was purchased by Hasbro, bringing their characters and creations under the same holdings as G.I. Joe. The appearance of Specialist Trakker in the A Real American Hero line constitutes the first link between the two lines.
  • Specialist Trakker's design and colors are based on the Matt Trakker figure who came with the vehicle Thunderhawk, and his helmet is based on the Spectrum helmet that came with it. His helicopter backpack's colors are a homage to the M.A.S.K. toy Condor.[1]
