Memorable quotes

"Don't you good guys ever give up?"
"No! That's why we're the good guys!"

--Destro and Wild Bill

"With expendable fruits and vegetables replacing Cobra's ground troops, we can overrun the world!"

-- Destro, quite possibly uttering the single most absurd line in the history of RAH.

Other notes

Animation and/or technical glitches

  • Barbecue is portrayed with blond hair, although later episodes of the series portray him with reddish-brown hair.

Continuity errors

  • Once again Tomax and Xamot act on behalf of Cobra yet seemingly walk away scot free with no legal repercussions.

Miscellaneous trivia

  • Bazooka's launcher fires lasers in this episode. He even comments on it once it stops working effectively.
  • This is the only time Bazooka is portrayed as a decisive fast-thinker like his toy filecard states, not the thick-headed klutz that he's portrayed in all the other episodes.

Real-world references

  • The episode title, "The Greenhouse Effect," is the name of one of the causes of global warming.
  • Cobra Commander throws a bean out of a window, which lands and promptly starts to grow a beanstalk, ala Jack and the Beanstalk
