The Valor vs. Venom toyline debuted in 2004. It is part of Generation 2 of the A Real American Hero toyline.
The line continues G.I. Joe vs. Cobra's theme of carded two-packs for many of its action figures. There were also several characters sold in single-pack cards. One of the more significant additions to the G.I. Joe toyline is the introduction of the Comic Packs which are three-figure packs which included a reprint of a classic G.I. Joe comic.
