Based on the M50 'Ontos' Tank Destroyer, which looks cartoonish in its own right. The Wolverine is one of the two iconic G.I Joe tanks.

Cover Girl drove a Wolverine on her way to G.I. Joe base when she encountered Snake-Eyes and Timber.[1] Wolverines also came into play during the Joes' storm assault on the Cobra Temple in the mountains.[2]
